Nfl: Ex-Giant Tollefson to join Raiders

Dave Tollefson, a reserve defensive end and popular presence in the Giants’ locker room, will sign a two-year, $2.5 million contract with the Raiders, a deal that could be worth up to $3 million with incentives.

Tollefson. who received a modest offer from the Giants, visited the Seahawks, Packers, Raiders and Titans before deciding to return home to the Bay Area.

“This is the bad part of the business,’’ Justin Tuck posted on his Twitter account. “Dave will be missed.’’

NCAA: After crash, Petrino said not to call 911

Moments after their motorcycle accident, Bobby Petrino and Jessica Dorrell, a female employee, told a passer-by not to call 911, then got a ride back to Fayetteville where the Arkansas football coach was met by a state trooper who provides his personal security during the season.

Petrino was taken to a Fayetteville intersection by another passer-by. There, Dorrell left in her own car while Petrino was met by Capt. Lance King, his personal security guard. King took Petrino to a hospital, where he was treated for broken ribs and a cracked neck vertebra.
