Misreporting the news: liberal media at it again

The Issue: Whether news outlets intentionally edited their portrayal of evidence in the Trayvon Martin case.

Is it any wonder the public is growing more disenchanted with news outlets (“Network Nihilism,” Editorial, April 5)?

The lack of accurate reporting by NBC, CNN, ABC and The New York Times on what was really said on the Trayvon Martin 911 tapes is tragic.

It’s bad enough that the liberal press covers up the mishaps of Democrats and their lead man, but it’s deranged to stoop to changing the actual news. The once-great profession of journalism has lost its way.

There are no surprises here. Now everyone knows why FOX has the most viewers and why “The Rush Limbaugh Show” listener base is growing.

There’s no substitute for fairness and honest dialogue, and most Americans know it.

“Network Nihilism” criticizes networks for editing the 911 dialog in the Martin case.

But aren’t all news outlets guilty of the same thing when they avoid describing criminals in terms of their race and, therefore, have immunity by way of political correctness?

It’s just like how the NYPD is excoriated for using resources appropriately instead of wasting time and money with programs that are liberal, feel-good nonsense.

If riots break out over the Martin shooting, I hope criminal charges are brought against NBC and its doppleganger, MSNBC, for incitement.

One can watch any of their nighttime broadcasts and come away thinking that George Zimmerman is a racist.

They have presented “evidence” that they know isn’t true, and they never present the other side.
