This weeks couple: Hole in one

When we sent Cat, a 25-year-old fashion designer, and Jeremy, a 29-year-old music-video director, to the Greenwich Village Country Club for a round of minigolf, we hoped they would get right into the swing of things. The couple shared drinks and tried their hand at putt-putt, but when a waitress slipped Jeremy her number, was Cat hoping for a mulligan?

He said:

My first impression of Cat was that she was cute and sweet, although it took her some time to warm up. I think she was a little nervous and tense in the beginning.

Once we had our drinks, we played a round of minigolf. Cat was a solid golfer, we almost tied. At some point, a waitress who looked a lot like Snooki walked by and handed me a napkin that said, “If your blind date isn’t going well give me a call” and she left her phone number. Of course, I showed Cat and we shared a good laugh and continued to joke about it the rest of the night. After our game, we went to a bar and at the end of the night we exchanged numbers. Overall, it was a fun Friday night, and I would hang out with her again.

She said:

I was nervous and not expecting much from the date. I also hoped it just wouldn’t be awkward. Upon seeing Jeremy, though, I thought he was cute and dressed very nicely. He was also funny and very open, which made it easier to open up.

We talked about being raised in rural areas before moving to New York, along with our favorite East Village spots since we both live there now. Then we moved to the putt-putt course where our golf skills were evenly matched.

When the waitress gave Jeremy her number, I was more shocked than jealous. I thought the date was going well, so I was surprised she would be so ballsy. We did exchange numbers, so hopefully we’ll hang out again soon.
