First Lady Michelle Obama appeared on “The Colbert Report” to share her US presidential pick for this election cycle.
“I am endorsing my husband, Barack Obama,” she said Wednesday night. “I think he will be a phenomenal President — he has been a phenomenal President. He’s my man.”
The First Lady also talked about the White House’s “Joining Forces” initiative to support service members and discussed unemployment for veterans, which exceeds the national average.
She said that while unemployment for returning veterans is decreasing significantly, “until we get it to zero, we still have a lot of work to do. These people are bringing in skills that actually improve the bottom line of companies because these are some of the most highly-trained, highly-skilled, disciplined people that we have in our society, the best this country has to offer. So we all need to do our part.”
