A plainclothes officer shot a man who pointed a gun at him in Queens Village yesterday, law enforcement sources said.
The 30-year-old man was wanted in connection with a shooting that took place earlier this month and his gun was recovered at the scene, cops said.
A spokesman for the Fire Department — which transported the shot suspect to North Shore Hospital — said he had been shot in the back.
