Mitt: Bam’s bad example led to GSA scandal

WASHINGTON — Mitt Romney is blasting President Obama for taking “elaborate vacations” that set a bad example for hard-partying GSA employees.

“I think the example starts at the top,” Romney told National Review Online, commenting on the scandal where feds blew more than $800,000 in taxpayer cash on a lavish conference.

“People have to see that the president is not taking elaborate vacations, and spending in a way that is inconsistent with the state of the overall economy and the state of the American family,” Romney said.

Romney also ripped Obama’s frequent weekend golfing, saying he should “suck it up for four years.”

Obama campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt retorted, “Only Mitt Romney, who spent 212 days outside of Massachusetts for one year as governor, would attack the president for spending time with his family — like every other president has.”
