This weeks couple: Hungry for more

We sent Jessica, a 25-year-old account executive, and Jamie, a 27-year-old financial advisor, to the East Village wine bar bahr ché. The highlight of the evening came when they discovered that they are both fans of “The Hunger Games” series. So, are these two destined for a love story just like Katniss and Peeta? Or is Jessica still hungry for more?

He said:

It was easy to find Jessica because she was the only person sitting at a table when I walked in. My initial reaction was, “Hey, this girl is actually cute — nice job New York Post!” From there, the date wasn’t awkward at all; it was just a lot of fun. I learned that Jessica is from Minnesota, and we talked about our favorite television shows and, of course, “The Hunger Games.” Jessica told me she went to the midnight screening on opening night of the movie and she read all three books in a one week. I was thoroughly impressed — I thought I was dedicated, but she put me to shame! Time flew and I was surprised when I realized we had been talking for three hours. We exchanged numbers and made loose plans to go out again.

She said:

Our date was at a really cute wine bar — dimly lit, with lots of tables. My first impression of Jamie was that he was attractive, tall and very extroverted.

I was a bit nervous at first, but we quickly began talking about college and our jobs. It also turns out we live a couple blocks away from each other, so we talked about our favorite neighborhood bars and restaurants. I also think I convinced him to run a half-marathon, but maybe he was just being nice.

We had both recently read “The Hunger Games” so we discussed the books and the movie. Overall, Jamie is a very confident, funny, easygoing guy. At the end of the night, he asked for my number and I hope to see him again!
