Mitt flack proves to be hack

It didn’t take long for Mitt Romney’s spokesman to stir up some controversy.

Richard Grenell has been the Republican front-runner’s mouthpiece for just four days — and he’s already been forced to scrub sexist tweets targeting everyone from Michelle Obama to Hillary Rodham Clinton to Callista Gingrich, according to The Huffington Post.

Commenting on the first lady working out at the White House, Grenell cattily tweeted, “Sweating on the East Room carpet.’’

He also snarkily wrote of Secretary of State Clinton and her wrinkly predecessor: “Hillary starting to look liek [sic] Madeline Albright.’’

As for Callista Gingrich, the third wife of his new boss’ ex-rival, Grenell sniped that it looked as if her “hair snaps on’’ and that she “stands there like she is wife # 1.’’

Grenell later told Politico, “My tweets were written to be tongue-in-cheek and humorous, but now, I can see how they can also be hurtful.”
