Bloc party for Carl & lover

They shared the good times — and now a corrupt New York politician and his partner-in-crime boyfriend want to share the bad times, too.

The live-in lover of disgraced Brooklyn pol Carl Kruger asked the feds yesterday to lock him up in the same medium-security upstate prison as the former state senator.

Dr. Michael Turano’s lawyer, Robert Katzberg, said the main reason for the arrangement is to make it easier for Turano’s ailing mother, 74-year-old Dorothy “Dottie” Turano, to visit her loved ones — Turano and Kruger.

Turano was sentenced last week to two years in the federal lockup and Kruger to seven years after the pair were convicted in a “pay to play” bribery scheme.

They share a $1.8 million Mill Basin mansion with Mrs. Turano and Michael Turano’s brother Gerard.

Katzberg asked federal Judge Jed Rakoff to pass to the Bureau of Prisons his request to assign Turano to the Otisville Satellite Camp, just 70 miles northwest of the city in Orange County.

“As your honor is aware, Mrs. Turano is also extremely close to Carl Kruger, whom she will also be visiting,” Katzberg wrote Rakoff. “Indeed, the relationship among Dorothy Turano, Gerard Turano, Michael Turano and Carl Kruger is that of a close-knit family.”

“It is our hope that if the Bureau of Prisons designates Carl Kruger and Michael Turano to that facility, Mrs. Turano will only have to travel to one prison to visit both,” he added.

Judge Rakoff agreed to a request from Kruger’s lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, to send him to Otisville “for religious and dietary reasons. ” Kruger is Jewish and Otisville offers kosher food.

Otisville was called one of America’s “10 Cushiest Prisons” by Forbes magazine. It’s also known because Bernie Madoff tried — and failed — to get assigned there, and the character Gordon Gekko served his time there after being convicted in the movie “Wall Street.”
