‘Killer’ misses his mom

He wants his mother — the woman he is charged with murdering.

Henry Wachtel, 19 and epileptic, is accused of killing La Guardia HS teacher Karen Kay, 63, during a seizure — while a 911 operator listened on in horror.

But the former Fordham University student still can’t recall the attack, his attorney said yesterday after filing a plea of not guilty.

“It’s very difficult. He misses his mother,” Lloyd Epstein said after his client’s brief appearance in Manhattan Supreme Court.

He added that the defense plans to argue Wachtel was in the throes of a seizure and under heavy medication and thus unable to form the intent to murder his mom in their Hell’s Kitchen apartment on April 10.

After the hearing, Wachtel was escorted back to jail, his cuffed hands clutching a paperback copy of Jon Krakauer’s “Into the Wild.” Denied bail, he’s due back in court June 28.
