A domestic squabble turned deadly in Queens last night when cops shot a knife-wielding man who had stabbed himself and his wife, law-enforcement sources said.

The violence erupted at 8:30 p.m., when cops were called to a home on 223rd Place in Bayside, where a 50-year-old man was reported to be cutting himself with a knife.

“There was a lot of blood inside,” a police source said.

Cops found the man and his 51-year-old wife — both bleeding — standing next to each other in front of their home, with the man holding a blood-soaked knife.

His wife, bleeding from the neck and shoulder, was wailing, “I’m going to die! I’m going to die!”

The man was ordered to drop the knife; when he failed to do so, cops shot him twice in the torso.

The couple, who were not identified, were taken North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, where he was pronounced dead and she was in critical condition.

It was not immediately clear if the man died from a self-inflicted slash to his throat or from the bullet wounds.

“I heard shouting, and when I looked out the window, [police] were shouting, “Stay down, don’t move!’ ” said a neighbor, Victoria Soto.

“Then I heard a shot, and another shot.”
