A medical exam of George Zimmerman, the man charged with murdering unarmed black Florida teen Trayvon Martin, reportedly shows that Zimmerman suffered a series of injuries that could back his claim of self-defense.

A family doctor looked at Zimmerman the day after he shot the 17-year-old in February and said Zimmerman suffered from a “closed fracture” of his nose, two black eyes, head cuts and back pain, according to ABC News.

One of the cuts on his head was nearly an inch long and the other was about a quarter-inch.

Zimmerman, 28, also had bruises on his upper lip and complained about stress and “occasional nausea when thinking about the violence,” the report states.

The doctor did not diagnose him with a concussion but said it was “imperative” that Zimmerman see “his psychologist for evaluation,” ABC said.

Zimmerman had been previously prescribed Adderall and Temazepam, used for attention-deficit and insomnia respectively.

Those meds can cause side effects such as agitation and mood swings in less than 10 percent of users, the network said.

Zimmerman, of white and Hispanic descent, went to the doctor to get permission to return to work.

He declined hospitalization immediately following the shooting and rejected his doctor’s advice to schedule a follow-up exam with an ear, nose and throat doctor.

The extent of Zimmerman’s injuries could help his claim that he only shot Martin (inset) in self-defense.

He told cops that his head had been pounded into the ground and he pulled his gun after Martin reached for it first.

But a special state prosecutor has said Zimmerman started the fateful confrontation after profiling Martin, who was returning to his father’s girlfriend’s home.

An Orlando TV station reported that the FBI is also investigating Zimmerman for potential hate-crime charges.

Zimmerman, who is hiding out at an unknown location while out on $150,000 bail, could face the death penalty if convicted by the feds of murder. The FBI is questioning witnesses to the shooting, WFTV-TV reported.

The medical report came as a collection of evidence was released as part of pre-trial discovery.

The evidence, which includes 67 CDs worth of documents, also includes video of Martin on the night of the shooting, his autopsy report and video of Zimmerman being questioned, ABC said.

It includes video of Martin at the 7-Eleven where he bought Skittles and iced tea before the shooting took place.

Special prosecutor Angela Corey’s office also included in the filings a list of witnesses it plans to call, the Orlando Sentinel reported.
