Obama weighs in on Knicks on ‘The View’

It’s not a good sign when even ever-diplomatic President Obama is joking on the Knicks.

Obama, who appeared on “The View’’ yesterday morning, gave a wise-cracking evaluation of the Knicks’ future. A Bulls fan, Obama admitted he is a bit grumpy nowadays because of Derrick Rose’s knee injury.

“Since the Bulls were knocked out, I’ve just been pouting,’’ he said.

When View co-host Whoopi Goldberg, who played the Knicks head coach in a movie, “Eddie,’’ asked Obama his thoughts on the Knicks, he responded, “I will say there was a lot of drama here in New York with the Knicks, all kinds of stuff, including the great story with Jeremy Lin.’’ Obama then added dripping with sarcasm: “So you guys will come back . . . some time.’’

As the audience laughed, co-host Barbara Walters told Obama, “That’s about as lukewarm an endorsement as you can possibly give.’’
