Store where Facebook CEO’s wife bought wedding gown hasn’t sold any more

As Facebook’s stock has been struggling, another business with ties to the social network can’t seem to cash in.

The store where Mark Zuckerberg’s wife Priscilla Chan bought her wedding dress hasn’t sold another gown like the one Chan wore at her surprise wedding to the Facebook CEO last Saturday, TMZ reports.

Even though no one’s buying, plenty of people are “liking” the white lace dress. Curious customers at the Little White Dress shop in Denver have been trying on the $4,700 Claire Pettibone gown, according to the store’s owner, Cate Malone.

Traffic on the shop’s Web site has also increased 680% since the nuptials.

Zuckerberg and his longtime girlfriend Chan were married last Saturday at his Palo Alto home in a surprise ceremony that the 100 guests initially thought was a party to celebrate Chan’s recent graduation from medical school.

Although Zuckerberg is a billionaire, he gave Chan a simple ruby ring bookended by two diamonds, that was estimated to be worth just $25,000 by one jeweler.

Zuckerberg and Chan, who plans to be a pediatrician, tied the knot the day after Facebook began trading on the Nasdaq in the largest tech IPO in history.

Despite the hype, though, the stock debuted amid tech glitches and had a roller coaster ride on Wall Street last week, ending at $31.91, down from its debut price of $38 a share.

Regulators are now investigating various issues associated with the IPO and shareholders have sued Facebook, its underwriters and Nasdaq.
