Calvin Klein scores $4M arena deal

Calvin Klein is getting the VIP treatment under a multi-million dollar sponsorship deal with the Brooklyn Nets and Barclays Center.

The fashion house will sponsor 700 premium-priced seats in an exclusive courtside club at the $1 billion stadium, which opens in a Sept. 28 gala.

Each pricey seat in the “Calvin Klein Courtside Club” will be emblazoned with the designer’s familiar black-and-white logo, matching the arena’s overall black-and-white motif created by hip-hop mogul Jay- Z.

Calvin Klein is also getting the arena’s VIP entrance where the Flatbush and Atlantic avenues intersect in a spruced up plaza. Of the four entrances being sold, only EmblemHealth and Calvin Klein have been disclosed as gate sponsors.

Entering through the Calvin Klein VIP gate, guests will ride an elevator adorned with more Calvin Klein logos before arriving at the courtside Calvin Klein club. Arena officials called the pact a “street to seat” immersion in the brand.

It’s part of an investment the design house is spending to support its fashion brand in Brooklyn turf. The brand, part of PVH Corp., generates $7.6 billion annually in global sales.

Barclays Center is set to unveil the new Calvin Klein pact today, its seventh such deal with a big sponsor. The so-called “founding partner” deals cost north of $4 million annually, said industry sources.

In addition to Barclays and Calvin Klein, other founding sponsors include: Cushman & Wakefield, EmblemHealth, Foxwoods Resort Casino, MetroPCS, Stolichnaya vodka, Coca-Cola and Ticketmaster.
