Storage clients ‘bummed’ out

Customers of a bum-infested SoHo storage facility were frantically packing up their stuff yesterday after The Post revealed that the building is a haven for vagrant loiterers after sunset.

“The pictures are so gross. I’m really grossed out. You can’t conduct a business like this where security should be the top priority,” said Marina Dougherty. “There are plenty of alternatives [to Manhattan Mini Storage] out there. So we’re going to switch.”

Dougherty was so disgusted by the Manhattan Mini Storage on Spring Street in SoHo that she tossed about $20,000 worth of furniture into a truck yesterday and drove away.

“My husband and I have to come here in the middle of the night to get things sometimes because we both work late. And we have noticed some bummy-looking people wandering around regularly,” said Dougherty, who was also moving to a new Chelsea apartment.

“I was, like, what’s their deal? How can they allow this? It’s a little creepy to walk in here and see that all the time.”

The facility is open 24/7 to accommodate people like Dougherty, who need access to their belongings at odd hours.

“We were going to move our stuff into a Manhattan Mini Storage up in Chelsea, where we’re moving, but after reading about this, I want nothing to do with them,” she said.
