Victim ‘de-faces’ fraudster

Maybe he just wanted to look like a matinee idol.

The crooked ex-owner of the Brooklyn Heights Cinema blew $31,000 of stolen money on futile plastic surgery, one of Norman Adie’s victims said at his sentencing yesterday.

“Looking at him today, I’d say my money was wasted,” Hooman Mehran observed bitterly in the courtroom.

Adie, 65, was sentenced to 20 months in the slammer for scamming more than $500,000 from Mehran and other investors with phony development plans that included turning the beloved theater into condos.

Manhattan federal Judge Barbara Jones cut Adie a break from the recommended minimum of 27 months, citing his two young children — ages 5 and 8 — as well as dozens of letters “that say he’s a good person and has done good works.”

Adie promised “to make these people whole again.”
