WAS: A BEDROOM With the help of her visual team, Field turned her bedroom and bathroom (behind the dividers) into a hair salon (far right) offering everything from manic-panic pastel hair dyes to cuts (both starting at $60) and hair extensions. Head stylist Ayumi and her team do everything from wig-styling to Japanese straightening, starting at $300. Field’s custom made circular bed fashioned from green ostrich skin (near right) has been transferred to her new Lower East Side apartment, and replaced by the ruby-red chairchairs from Field’s now-shuttered original SoHo store, known as Hotel Venus. WAS: THE “FLORIDA ROOM” ‘I called it the Florida Room because it was open to the backyard. We would barbecue and party back there. The only thing missing was a pool,” cracks Field. The wall of windows (not pictured, but to the right) was knocked out and a greenhouse was created to connect the two buildings on Bowery and Elizabeth Street. It is now home to the dressing rooms and men’s and women’s clothing (far right). Christian Johnston

NOW: A JEWELRY COUNTER Though not apparent to the naked eye, the dark and moody midnight blue bar (far left) once housed her kitchen, which featured a sink, fridge and oven. The backlit panel done by artist Richard Alvarez stayed, but it’s now a display housing gems from nOir Jewelry, which is a favorite of Adam Lambert. Chunky colorful baubles including Muppet necklaces featuring Miss Piggy and Kermit start at $165. Christian Johnston

WAS: THE LIVING ROOM ‘We really didn’t do any major construction. The whole feeling is still the same, and we had to relight it,” says Field of the sprawling living space. The Cavalli glass coffee table, Vivienne Westwood pillow and zebra partition plucked from the “SATC” costume department, plus the antique couch from South Africa, were replaced with displays of accessories and a case of pasties and lingerie (far right).
