Kim sorry after telling India food is ‘disgusting’

LOS ANGELES — Kim Kardashian was forced to apologize to an entire country after she offended them by labeling their cuisine “disgusting.”

The 31-year-old socialite came under fire after she dissed Indian food to her sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner in Sunday night’s episode of the hit reality TV show “Keeping Up With The Kardashians.”

Kardashian took to her official website to set the record straight, insisting she meant no offense to people of Indian heritage.

“I said that I thought Indian food was disgusting. In NO way was this intended as an insult to the Indian people or their culture. This is just my own personal taste,” she posted on her blog.

“There are definitely some Armenian foods that I personally find disgusting, but that doesn’t reflect my opinions on other Armenian people or my culture,” she clarified.

The move followed heavy criticism from the Twittersphere after the show went to air.

“I think its good Kim Kardashian doesn’t like Indian food because that means she won’t ever visit India and that in itself is a blessing,” tweeted @krishna_shah.

“Kim Kardashian & Kendall Jenner called Indian food ‘so disgusting.’ SERIOUSLY? You don’t have to like it, don’t be rude. #gianteyeroll,” added @jenannelias.

It’s been a tough week for the reality star, who also accused British Airways of opening her bags and stealing some of her belongings including a pair of “sentimental” sunglasses given to her by her late father.
