PARIS – The French Open final between Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic has been suspended until Monday due to rain.
Nadal led world No. 1 Djokovic 6-4, 6-3, 2-6, 1-2 before officials announced the postponement about an hour after the match’s second rain delay Sunday.
The final is to resume at 1:00pm local time, or 7:00pm ET.
Both men are seeking major milestones.
A win for Nadal would give the Spaniard a record seven French Open championships. Djokovic is attempting to win his fourth consecutive Grand Slam title, a feat that has not been accomplished in over four decades.
