SEASIDE HEIGHTS, N.J. — “Jersey Shore” cast member Deena Cortese was arrested Sunday in the Jersey shore town where most of the MTV reality show has been filmed.
Seaside Heights Police Chief Tommy Boyd said Cortese was visibly intoxicated when an officer saw her slapping passing cars, WCAU-TV reported.
“Nothing major, but we can’t put up with it,” Boyd said.
She was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct, served a summons at Seaside Heights police headquarters and released.
“Jersey Shore” started filming its sixth and final season in Seaside Heights last week.
The new season will be the fourth to be filmed in the New Jersey town after detours to Miami and Italy.
Boyd told WCAU-TV that authorities in Seaside Heights “don’t treat the cast differently than anyone else.”
