Mayor: Where does class-sex judge get off?

A city judge who overturned the firing of a Brooklyn teacher caught in an alleged lesbian sex romp at school “went off the deep end” with her ruling, an incredulous Mayor Bloomberg charged yesterday.

The Post reported exclusively yesterday that Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Alice Schlesinger granted disgraced James Madison HS Spanish teacher Alini Brito a new disciplinary hearing — and a chance at reinstatement — after finding that her due-process rights had been denied.

Schlesinger went so far as to say that even if the allegations of a naughty empty-classroom roll-around with colleague Cindy Mauro were true, the city still went too far in firing the highly regarded Brito — a conclusion that stunned Bloomberg.

“I don’t know where the judge comes off with it,” Hizzoner said on his weekly radio appearance. “I’ve got to be careful . . . [but] I think her decision was totally wrong.”

“Yeah, she may be a great teacher — but you don’t have a sexual affair in the school!” Blomberg added.
