B’klynite crowned Miss NY

The Miss New York beauty pageant crown — and the right to represent the Empire State at the Miss America pageant in January — went to Miss New York City, Mallory Hagan, last night.

The 23-year-old Alabama native who lives in Brooklyn, bested 25 other competitors last night in the pageant held at the St. George Theatre on Staten Island.

The first runner up was Miss Manhattan, Katie Berry, while the second runner up was Miss Greater Rochester, Nina Davuluri.

Miss Brooklyn, Maria DeSantis, and Miss Niagara, Desiree Wiley, were the other top-five finishers.
