Fraud doc a real ass

A hotheaded Brighton Beach proctologist was convicted yesterday of committing a $3.5 million Medicare fraud, and then thrown in jail for threatening prosecutors, officials said.

A Brooklyn federal jury agreed with prosecutors, who said Boris Sachakov pretended to treat hemorrhoids, but wasn’t really performing the operations — just billing for them.

Justice Department trial attorney Sarah Hall told the panel that Sachakov submitted 3,962 claims in two years.

Mathematically, it would be the equivalent of working for more than 24 hours straight on 180 different days, she said.

As prosecutors Hall and William Pericak prepared their closing arguments, Sachakov bristled because the government attorneys had pointed toward him earlier in trial.

Sachakov then allegedly blurted out a threat to punch the prosecutors if they pointed at him again. He said that in his native Kazakhstan, pointing is considered impolite.

After Sachakov’s conviction, Judge Jack Weinstein held a brief hearing about the incident, and then ordered Sachakov be remanded immediately.

US Marshals took Sachakov into custody, and he’ll remain locked up until he’s sentenced, officials said.
