Fake livery driver in sex attack on young woman

A fake livery driver sexually attacked a young woman in Brooklyn and then hastily fled the scene with the victim’s cell phone still in his SUV– which cops then traced to his New Jersey home, The Post has learned.

Cops used the “Find My iPhone” app to bust Anjum Yaque, 38, at his Woodbridge residence early Sunday morning hours after the harrowing incident had played out in Sunset Park, according to law enforcement sources.

The victim, 22, had stirred from her boozy snooze around 5:40 p.m. Saturday and found the 200-pound Yaque groping her in the back seat of his black SUV, which was parked close to the Brooklyn Army Terminal on Second Avenue near 63rd Street, the sources said.

The victim had hailed Yaque on Lexington and 32nd Street, in the Murray Hill section of Manhattan, and had asked him to take her Downtown, sources said.

Yaque is not a licensed TLC driver, sources said, and it’s unclear how he came to operate the vehicle.

At some point during the ride, the woman – who was intoxicated – passed out and Yaque instead drove to Brooklyn and pounced on her, sources added.

The brave victim fought off Yaque, who allegedly kept locking the vehicle and yanking her hands off the door handles as she tried to escape.

A passing motorist saw the disheveled woman when she finally emerged from the SUV and called 911.

Yaque sped off as the victim yelled at him, “My cell phone is in the car,” sources said.

His careless haste proved beneficial to 72nd Precinct cops who used the “Find My iPhone” app to trace Yaque’s path from Brooklyn, back into Manhattan and into New Jersey, sources added.

They arrested him at his home on charges of forcible touching, unlawful imprisonment, assault and petit larceny. Police also recovered the victim’s cell phone.

Yaque is being held on Rikers Island on $2,500 bond, records show.
