Good Samaritan scares off attempted rapist

A long-haired sicko grabbed a teenage girl on a quiet, tree-lined Staten Island block and was about to rape her when a Good Samaritan scared the suspect off, cops said today.

The 19-year-old victim was walking from a bus stop on Oakland Avenue in West New Brighton around 9 p.m. Monday when she was grabbed from behind by the creep, police said.

The sex fiend threw her to the ground and was trying to take her pants off when a 56-year-old man, who was walking nearby, heard the victim’s panicked cries for help and screamed at the sicko to stop, cops said.

Frightened, the suspect stopped the sexual assault and fled.

Cops described the attempted rapist as a white male between the ages of 18 and 23 and standing about 5’8” with a slim build.

He wore his shoulder-length blonde hair in a pony tail along with a blue t-shirt and light blue jeans.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
