He gave her a French kiss off.

When Dominique Strauss-Kahn came face to face with the French woman who says he tried to rape her, he refused to apologize. In fact, she says, he wouldn’t even look at her.

Investigators questioned former IMF chief Strauss-Kahn and journalist Tristane Banon, 32, in Paris to help decide whether to pursue charges of attempted rape against him.

Banon claims Strauss-Kahn attacked her during a book interview in 2003. He told investigators she made it all up.

“He kept repeating, ‘It’s imaginary.’ ” Banon told TF1 TV yesterday.

The onetime French presidential candidate emanated “arrogance” and “coldness” during the meeting, she said.

“I thought he would excuse himself. He didn’t even look at me,” Banon said.

Strauss-Kahn made his only public appearance since returning to France less than two weeks ago, and he has not made himself available to the press.

Still, Banon called the meeting a “first victory.”

She requested the one-on-one meeting, which is sometimes used in France to help officials decide if a case is worth pursuing.

The two did not speak to reporters as they arrived separately at the police facility and refused comment when they left.

Strauss-Kahn quit as IMF head and saw his chances for the French presidency evaporate after a Manhattan hotel maid accused him of attempted rape in May.

The case was later dropped amid questions about the maid’s credibility, but the woman, Nafissatou Diallo, has filed a civil suit.

Strauss-Kahn claimed Monday he has diplomatic immunity and asked the New York civil court to dismiss the suit. With
