Gay-rights group’s nups salute to Mike

Just call him the Rainbow Mayor.

A national gay-rights group will honor Mayor Bloomberg tomorrow night with its annual civil-rights award for helping to get New York’s gay-marriage law enacted.

Bloomberg is to accept the award at a Human Rights Campaign fund-raising dinner at the Washington Convention Center.

President Obama is to deliver the keynote address.

“We’re thrilled to honor Mayor Bloomberg for the major role he played in securing marriage equality in New York state. From personally lobbying Republican lawmakers in Albany to appearing in HRC’s ‘New Yorkers for Marriage Equality’ video series, the mayor led by example and helped turn the tide toward fairness,” said HRC spokesman Paul Guequierre.

Scheduled performers include Cyndi Lauper, Greyson Chance and Mika.
