The Islanders trimmed their roster to the 23-man limit yesterday, making three moves that were expected.
Forward Trevor Frischmon and defenseman Dylan Reese — both who cleared waivers last week — were sent to AHL Bridgeport. Prospect Kirill Kabanov was also sent back to his junior squad in the QMJHL.
The team kept 13 forwards, including this year’s first-round draft pick (No. 5 overall) Ryan Strome, as well as seven defensemen and three goalies.
