Former ‘Jersey Shore’ star sues woman over alleged New York mall attack

Former “Jersey Shore” cast member Angelina Pivarnick is suing the woman who allegedly attacked her at a New York shopping center last year, TMZ reported Thursday.

Kelsey Balzafiore, 20, punched the former reality show star inside the Staten Island Mall, according to the lawsuit filed by Pivarnick’s lawyer Stephanie Ovadia in New York last week.

Pivarnick and her friend Janina Vaiana were shopping at Hot Topic in October last year when a group of youths approached them and a fight broke out.

Following the incident, Balzafiore was arrested on misdemeanor battery charges for allegedly punching Vaiana, but Pivarnick now claims she was also attacked by her.

Pivarnick was “assaulted, battered and harassed,” according to court documents, and left “wounded, bruised, and injured and sustained severe shock to her nervous system.”

Balzafiore’s lawyer, Bryan J. Swerling, released a statement claims his client was acting in “self-defense” and that Pivarnick never claimed to come into physical contact with his client.

“As a result of that incident, only Jeanine Vaina pressed charges against my client…Futher nowhere in the police reports that my office reviewed did Ms. Pivarnick make an allegation that my client had any physical contact with her,” Swerling said in a statment obtained by The Post.

Swerling also said that his client plans to “pursue all legal avenues available to us and to countersue for assault, battery, harassment, and now for defamation.”

The former “Jersey Shore” girl, who featured in the first two series of the MTV reality show, is also suing Hot Topic over their security arrangements.

She is demanding unspecified damages.
