Cops are questioning a man wanted in connection with the brutal death of an East Harlem grandma.
Gregory Velez, 35, is suspected in the slaying of 73-year-old Judy Hernandez.
The woman was found inside her East 120th Street apartment Tuesday night with a plastic bag over her head and her feet bound with a scarf, police said.
He was picked up around 4 p.m. today in the Bronx.
Judy Hernandez called her daughter at around 1 p.m. yesterday to say there was a “funny-looking guy in the elevator” in her building at the Wagner Houses, police said.
Another daughter, Janette, went to the ninth-floor apartment at around 7:40 p.m., and made the discovery.
Velez is 6-foot tall and weighs about 180 pounds.
