Michael Lohan arrested again less than 12 hours after being released on bail

TAMPA, Fla. — Michael Lohan was arrested again Thursday, less than 12 hours after being released on bail in a domestic violence case, TMZ reported.

Lohan’s estranged girlfriend Kate Major — who had a restraining order already against the 51 year old for an earlier assault incident in March — called police in Tampa, Fla., early Thursday claiming Lohan had been hounding her, despite a judge ordering him to stay away from her the day before, sources told the website.

Deeming the father of troubled actress Lindsay Lohan to be a “threat,” officers went to his hotel to arrest him.

Lohan then allegedly tried to evade capture by hopping a third story balcony, but was caught after falling into a tree, according to the report.

He was arrested on charges of violating a condition of his pretrial release and resisting arrest without violence, a law enforcement official told the website.

Lohan was in court Wednesday facing domestic violence charges after Major, a former tabloid journalist, claimed he turned violent at her apartment early Tuesday and threatened to kill her when she refused to perform oral sex, leaving her with bruises on her arms and marks on her legs.

During the court hearing Judge Walter Heinrich ordered Lohan to stay away from Major, saying, “If you even dream about [Major] and you violate my order, you will go to jail.”

His lawyer claimed Lohan was only socializing with Major at her invitation, but the judge did not accept the argument. “If he had an invitation to come up here, he shouldn’t have come up here,” the visibly angered judge said.

“He’s not allowed to come up here, he’s not allowed to be around her,” he continued, adding, “Does he know how to read [the restraining order]?”

Lohan remained in custody Thursday, TMZ added.
