‘Sex’ machines

Now gamblers can canoodle Carrie Bradshaw at the Big A!

The Resorts World New York casino — opening today at the Aqueduct Racetrack — features six snazzy “Sex and the City” slot-machine games that will have bettors shooting for a bonus from Mr. Big.

Gaming officials predict it will be among the most popular games at the city’s first racino, which will throw opens its doors at 1 p.m.

The machines are a flashy addition to the state-of-the-art facility, which will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 a.m. every day.

Once a bettor sits down, theme music from the popular HBO series blares from the machine.

People can plunk down anywhere from 50 cents to $6 to play — and can play up to four games at the same time — for a top payout of $20,000.

Players hit a button that spins traditional slot-machine reels adorned with images of Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda, along with a limousine icon, the “Sex and the City” logo, and other items from the show.

Hitting a row of bonus logos spins a separate electronic wheel, which features symbols for each of the show’s stars.

Players can win the top award if the wheel lands on a suitcase — the symbol for Carrie’s boyfriend, Mr. Big — and they pick correctly from one of three suitcases displayed on screen.

Throughout the game, video clips from the show pop up on the LCD monitor, keeping players engaged with the characters even if they’re losing money.

The game has proven popular at the Empire City Casino in Yonkers and the Monticello Casino and Raceway upstate.

In all, gamblers can choose from 2,279 slot machines at the new Aqueduct racino. Other games include Wheel of Fortune, Cash Spin, Ka-Pow and Keno.

The more than 200 electronic table games also will be a big hit at the Big A, predicted Scott Molina, Resorts World’s director of slot operations.

He gave a demonstration to The Post yesterday showing how a bettor can play one of three games — baccarat, craps or sic bo, a dice game — sitting comfortably at the same terminal.

Instead of a live person, there’s a mechanical device that rolls three large dice.

Two white dice tally the score for craps. And all three dice — two white ones and one black — add up the score for sic bo.

New York prohibits “live” table games, the major difference between the racino and the casinos of Las Vegas and Atlantic City.
