White Plains wreck kills 3 from Bronx

Authorities in White Plains are investigating a head-on collision that killed three people from the Bronx and injured two others.

The Journal News says police started receiving calls late Saturday night of a two-car crash on Mamaroneck Avenue just north of Rosedale Avenue.

Police say a Toyota Camry was driving in the wrong direction when it collided with a Toyota Lexus, killing the Camry’s driver, 65-year-old Herbert Royster, and two others, 70-year-old Aida Royster, and 51-year-old David Guerra.

Police a fourth Camry passenger was listed in serious but stable condition and the driver of the Lexus was being treated for blunt trauma concussion and an arm laceration.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
