Jerry Seinfeld will guest host “LIVE! with Kelly” after longtime co-host Regis Philbin retires in November, ABC announced Tuesday.
Seinfeld, 57, will give daytime TV a try with remaining host Kelly Ripa for three episodes starting November 21 to November 23.
Philbin, 80, will say goodbye to the ABC talk show on November 18.
“Jerry is a great friend of ours, and a friend of Kelly’s, and it doesn’t hurt that he’s an entertainment icon,” the show’s executive producer Michael Gelman said in a statement.
“It’s a great way to kick off the new beginning of our show,” Gelman added about the famed comedian and TV star.
ABC has yet to name a full-time replacement for Philbin.
