Jobs bill ‘road’block

Washington Senate Republicans yesterday killed a $60 billion roads-and-bridges repair bill, delivering the third conse-cutive defeat to pieces of President Obama’s jobs package.

Republicans this time balked at the tax on millionaires to pay for the popular infrastructure projects.

Obama, who has made his jobs agenda a campaign issue, said on the stump Wednesday: “The American people are behind this”
