Phoenix Walmart evacuated after bomb scare

PHOENIX – The Walmart at Cave Creek Road and Carefree Highway was evacuated Thanksgiving night because of a suspicious package.

Thousands of customers who were lined up for the Black Friday deals were kept far away.

An employee reported seeing a strange package inside a refrigerator in the employee break room, and police showed up and confirmed that it indeed looked like an explosive.

The store was packed with customers. Walmart was open all day today, but the Black Friday deals aren’t available until midnight.

Police decided not to take any chances so they evacuated everyone out.
