Neil Diamond announced Tuesday he will hit the road again for his 2012 Summer Tour across North America.
“Look out USA and Canada, here we come again! See you in Summer 2012, this is going to be the big one!” he tweeted to fans.
The 70-year-old will tour to promote his upcoming album “The Very Best of Neil Diamond: the Original Studio Recordings” that includes 23 hits from the singer whose career has spanned five decades.
The album will be released December 6.
On December 3, Diamond will be among the recipients of the 2011 Kennedy Center Honors.
President Barack Obama will salute the honorees — who also include Oscar winner Meryl Streep, cellist Yo-Yo Ma, Tony Award-winning singer Barbara Cook and jazz saxophonist Sonny Rollins — at an event to be broadcast by CBS Dec. 27.
