A Wisconsin teen who had been reported missing was found with protesters occupying Zuccotti Park, sleeping on a piece of cardboard.
Relatives called the cops Nov. 10, two days after Aaron Schmidt, 18, a freshman at the University of South Dakota, stopped responding to e-mails and cellphone calls.
Police discovered he had used a credit card to buy one-way bus ticket to New York City, so Schmidt’s father and uncle followed him to Manhattan, located him and dragged him home.
“I wanted to learn more about it [OWS]. It’s hard to know exactly what’s going on with something until you experience it yourself,” Schmidt told the AP.
“It’s hard to judge something from afar from reading things simply online.”
