Today

MOUSE TALE: Everybody’s favorite starry-eyed mouseling jumps from page (or TV) to stage in “Angelina Ballerina: The Very Merry Holiday Musical.” Best for ages 3 to 12, this one’s sure to be a hit with fans of Katharine Holabird’s series. Today and tomorrow, 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., through Jan. 2, days and times vary, $29.50 and up. Vital Theatre Company, 2162 Broadway at 76th Street; 212-579-0528, vitaltheatre.org

ROOTS: Bread and Puppet Theater’s family production of “Man = Carrot Circus” might sound lofty for little ones, but colorful masks, puppets and more make the conceptual piece about the connection between people and plants fun for all ages. Saturdays and Sundays, 3 p.m., through Dec. 18, $12 for adults, $6 for kids. Theater for the New City, 155 First Ave., at 10th Street; 212-254-1109, theaterforthenewcity.net

TOMORROW

LET IT SNOW: The story of Snow White isn’t just taking over the screen (dueling films!) — it’s taking over the stage, too. Austin McCormick’s “Snow White” at Bond Street Theatre is a better bet for small kids than any upcoming flicks, blending circus arts, opera, dance, fashion and more for a whirlwind take on the Brothers Grimm tale. 3 p.m., through Jan. 15, days and times vary, $35 for adults, $30 for kids. 303 Bond St., between Union and Sackett streets, Brooklyn; 800-838-3006, companyXIV.com

SNAKE ON A PLANE: OK, not on a plane, but a python on the loose is still a pretty big deal! Especially when the snake in question is Brooklyn Children’s Museum’s resident Fantasia, a 20-foot albino Burmese python, who’ll be slithering out from behind the glass to pose for pics. Really. “Fantasia Gets Loose” just once a year, so don’t miss it! Noon to 1:30 p.m. Free with admission, $7.50 per person; photos are $7. Brooklyn Children’s Museum, 145 Brooklyn Ave., at St. Marks Avenue; 718-735-4400, brooklynkids.org
