Romney: I’d deport Bam kin

WASHINGTON — There will be no amnesty for Uncle Omar in a Romney administration.

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney was asked on a Boston radio show whether President Obama’s relative Onyango Obama, who is in the United States illegally, should get deported.

“The answer is yes,” Romney replied, after asking who “Uncle Omar” was during the Wednesday interview.

“Well, if the laws of the United States say he should be deported, and I presume they do, then of course we should follow those laws,” Romney said. “And the answer is yes.”

Onyango Obama, the half-brother of Obama’s late father, was arrested in August for drunken driving in Framingham, Mass. According to a police report, he told cops at the time, “I think I will call the White House.”

He was born in Kenya and is charged with violating deportation orders in addition to drunken driving. He appeared in court last month on the deportation matter.

Although the statement is in keeping with Romney’s tough line on President Obama, Romney also has taken heat on the immigration issue, when Rick Perry attacked him for his past use of a lawn-service company that ended up having illegal immigrants do his yard work.

Romney has hammered away at Obama while keeping up attacks on GOP opponents.

Yesterday, the Democratic National Committee fired back at Romney for saying he wouldn’t release his tax returns even if he gets the GOP nomination.

The DNC even launched a new Web site called “what Mitt pays,” claiming that “he probably pays less taxes than you do” because of how the tax laws work.
