Starr report

Call him a “Glor”-ified anchor . . .

Jeff Glor is the new anchor of the Sunday edition of the “CBS Evening News,” replacing Russ Mitchell, who left for an anchor job at WKYC, the CBS affiliate in Cleveland.

Glor, who was news anchor for “The Early Show” — before it was revamped and morphed into “CBS This Morning” — anchored the Saturday edition of the “CBS Evening News” from 2009-10. He was also a national correspondent for CBS News.

Glor will, by the way, continue as a special correspondent for “CBS This Morning” when the retooled show launches this Monday (7-9 a.m./Ch. 2) with co-anchors Erica Hill, Gayle King and Charlie Rose.

Robert Hegyes, who played Juan Epstein on “Welcome Back, Kotter,” will be in Metuchen, NJ this weekend playing Chico Marx in a performance of “Flywheel, Shyster and Flywheel,” a Marx Brothers radio show which originally aired in 1932 (and starred Groucho and Chico Marx). Actually, it was the Marx Brothers’ radio debut.

Ron MacCloskey will play Groucho Marx in the live performance, being held at The Raconteur Bookstore (431 Main St.) at 8 p.m. on Friday and 7:30 and 9 p.m. on Saturday. The performance “will be done in full costume with theatrical lighting and sound effects” — so these should be interesting evenings.
