‘H’wives’ secret past

Fans of Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Atlanta” are quickly learning that recurring character Marlo Hampton has quite the checkered past.

On Sunday’s episode, Hampton — who’s not a regular Atlanta “Housewife” but appears frequently on the show — told star NeNe Leakes that she’s been arrested seven times, and once spent six months in jail.

“Ten years ago, I got into an altercation with a young lady … in a club,” Hampton told Leakes.

After the episode aired, several online sites, including straightfrom thea.com, added more to the story.

According to the site, Hampton got into a fight with a woman in a Florida club in 1998, pulled out a “sharp object” and slashed the other woman’s face.

Hampton was arrested on aggravated battery charges, but it’s unclear if the six months she said she spent in jail were for that attack or for another offense.

The woman that Hampton slashed was “horribly disfigured” and committed suicide in 2005, at the age of 33, by jumping off a bridge. She left behind a son, according to the report.

A Bravo spokeswoman said Hampton is scheduled to appear on several upcoming episodes of the show.
