‘Shoplift mom’ gets no-jail sentence

It’s five years probation for the mom who infamously coached her 11-year-old son to shoplift last year.

Carolyn Taylor, 36, of The Bronx, was sentenced today on her guilty plea to charges of grand larceny and endangering the welfare of her child.

Taylor had been busted last March after surveillance video from the Always Love pharmacy on the Upper West Side showed the mom using hand signals to instruct her then 5-foot-1, 175-pound kid to shoplift items and reach into another shopper’s purse.

The boy was not charged, and had been placed at his grandmother’s house, also in The Bronx, while the mom continues in counseling.

A sometimes colorful character in court, she once told news photographers last year, “Next time, I’m coming back here with a thousand Muslims and kick your ass!”

Her threatened army never materialized over the course of a half-dozen subsequent court appearances before Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Thomas Farber.
