Pippa middlebrow

After stealing the show at her sister’s April nuptials to Prince William, Pippa Middleton has had a dizzying year. Her bum has been worshipped, her love life analyzed to bits and her wardrobe praised by every magazine on both sides of the Atlantic.

Last week it was reported that the Duchess’ younger sister is snapped by the paparazzi about 400 times a day.

With all that photographic fodder, the media have enjoyed a fashion frenzy. People magazine calls her fall wardrobe “scene stealing.” Us Weekly called her winter togs “chic and sexy.”

Perhaps a more apt description would be boring and average.

Save for a gazillion shutterbugs stalking her, she could be mistaken for any recent college graduate traipsing around stodgy Boston.

While Pippa is not a candidate for TLC’s “What Not To Wear,” she isn’t exactly fit for Vanity Fair’s best-dressed list, either.

Most of her staples are good enough building blocks for a fine wardrobe, but her attempts at being trendy are always a tad off the mark. With some minor tweaks from some of her favorite chain stores, Pippa could clean up her act and hit the style sweet spot, for which she’s so celebrated.
