‘Pay’ respects at memorial, Mark: 9/11 kin

Sorry’s fine, but relatives of victims killed on 9/11 said loudmouth actor Mark Wahlberg should put some action behind his apology.

The “Contraband” star admitted he was way off the marky mark with his insensitive comments about what he would have done to terrorists if he’d been a passenger on one of the airplanes they hijacked.

But several families of those who were killed in the attack said Wahlberg should make further amends by visiting the 9/11 Memorial in lower Manhattan and helping to get the 9/11 museum open on time.

“He should take this as a lesson learned to do something positive,” said Monica Iken, whose husband, Michael, was killed in the south tower.

Iken said the box-office badass should put his money where his mouth is by donating to the museum and helping to raise funds.

“He is in a position to help,” Iken said. “He should just be happy he wasn’t on the plane and focus on what he can do, now that he’s overcome it.”

Widower Charles Wolf, whose wife, Katherine, was killed in the north tower, agreed.

“It would be a nice gesture to see him do that,” Wolf said. “If he’d like to donate, that would be a lovely thing to do. If he makes a publicized trip to the memorial to encourage donations, that would be wonderful.”
