SI man guilty of DWI slays

A Staten Island man pleaded guilty yesterday to aggravated vehicular homicide and vehicular assault after he finally admitted to being the driver in a booze-fueled car crash that killed two of his pals in 2010, authorities said.

Nicholas Marchese had a blood alcohol level of .20 — more than twice the legal limit — when he slammed a Nissan Altima into a utility pole at Arthur Kill and Arden roads just before 1 a.m. on Aug. 29, 2010. He had initially denied being behind the wheel.

Daniel Peluso and Jeffrey Capretta died in the horrific wreck while survivors Julian Pacheco and Thomas Sjeimie needed steel rods put in their legs. Another occupant was also injured.
