Knicks player takes the floor

Here’s hoping that the Knicks settling into new homes will help them settle down and win some more games.

Big man Tyson Chandler has found a full-floor apartment that suits his 7-foot-1 frame. The tough-guy center, who played for the NBA champion Dallas Mavericks last season, is renting a five-bedroom, five-plus-bathroom, 3,585-square-foot unit at the Rushmore condo building (far right) on Riverside Boulevard. We’re told that Chandler is “test-driving” the 41-story Extell Development building and no terms were disclosed, but the asking price for his unit is $32,500 per month.

Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez is in contract to sell his own full-floor five-bedroom in the building, which had an $8 million asking price. Rodriguez bought it for $5.5 million about a year ago.

In other Knicks news, rookie guard Iman Shumpert is living in a $5,000-a-month rental in a luxury condo building in White Plains. The 1,400-square, two-bedroom, two-bathroom short-term rental comes with an option to buy.

Prudential Douglas Elliman broker Prince Dockery, who handled the Shumpert deal and has also worked with Carmelo Anthony, declined to comment.

Ahoy!

Movie director Rob Marshall, who was behind the camera for last year’s “Pirates of the Caribbean” sequel, toured a $13.75 million four-bedroom, 5 1/2-bathroom penthouse loft at SoHo’s 34 Greene St. Marshall will begin shooting a new project in the city this summer and is on the hunt for a Manhattan residence.

The duplex he saw at 34 Greene is 5,000 square feet, plus 2,200 square feet of outdoor space, and has 15-foot ceilings.

Listing brokers Frances Katzen and Melanie Lazenby of Prudential Douglas Elliman could not be reached for comment.

Mansion on block for Rye price

South African real estate developer Neill Bernstein is auctioning off his Westchester mansion, the Brookside Estate — a 7,500- square-foot, seven-bedroom, seven-plus-bathroom residence in Rye. The three-story modern house on Polly Park Road has a floating staircase with an “art gallery” landing, a gym, a home theater, a wine cellar and staff quarters.

The mansion comes with more than $500,000 worth of antiques from the private collection of late designer Gianni Versace, which Bernstein bought at a London Sotheby’s auction in 2009. There’s also a $170,000 Blüthner grand piano, used for Michael Jackson and Madonna concerts in London.

Bernstein bought the home for $2.75 million and seems willing to take a loss on it. He originally listed it for $2.95 million but will now auction it with Paramount Realty USA with a minimum bid of $1.8 million. The buyer will have the option to purchase the home’s contents, including a Jeep, a Range Rover and a Cadillac stretch limo, for $400,000. If the buyer declines, the home’s contents will be up for auction with a minimum bid of $400,000, says Misha Haghani, founder of Paramount.

The auction will be held on March 4 at the Ritz-Carlton in White Plains.

Madonna slept here

Two summers ago, Madonna rented Coxwould, a British-style six-bedroom mansion on East Hampton’s Lily Pond Lane, from developer Lowell Shulman. The estate, on 2.23 acres that also includes cottages, had been listed for $425,000 for the season. (Madonna also bought Kelly Klein’s 30-acre horse farm in Bridgehampton that year.)

Now Coxwould, which dates back to 1912 and was most recently listed for sale at $24.5 million, is in contract.

What does the mystery buyer get for that kind of money? We think the best part is the private, deeded beach access to a secluded section between Main Beach and Georgica Beach. The estate was designed by “society architect” Harrie T. Lindeberg.

We hear . . .

That David Byrne, Anthony Haden-Guest and Art Basel Miami Beach magazine editrix Sue Hostetler attended a soiree at artist Michele Oka Doner’s stunning loft at 94 Mercer St., where they celebrated Doner’s new commission for the Miami Art Museum. Doner’s storied home is best known as the apartment of Demi Moore’s character in “Ghost” . . . That real estate broker/matchmaker Jennifer Zucher, of Plaza Real Estate Group and Project Soulmate, and her matchmaking partner Lori Zaslow will star in “Love Broker,” a new Bravo show debuting in March.
