Aging lothario Jack Nicholson swooped in on a backstage interview with Oscar-winning “Silver Playbook Lining’’ actress Jennifer Lawrence on Sunday night — and promptly began shamelessly flirting with the 22-year-old star.
“You did such a beautiful job. I didn’t mean to cross into your interview, but I had to congratulate you,” cooed 75-year-old Nicholson as he sneaked up behind the stunned actress while she was in the middle of a chat with “Good Morning America’’ co-host George Stephanopoulos after her big win.
Stephanopoulos said to Lawrence, “Oh, you got a fan here.’’
Lawrence quickly collected herself and jokingly shot back at Nicholson, “You’re being really rude.’’
The balding, paunchy actor still seemed unable to tear himself away, saying to Lawrence, “Good to see you. I enjoyed’’ the flick.
Lawrence responded: “Thank you. I loved all your movies.”
As he appeared to then be leaving for good, Nicholson couldn’t resist a parting smooth line, telling Lawrence:
“You look like an old girlfriend of mine.’’
Lawrence replied jokingly, “Oh, really, do I look like a new girlfriend?’’ and laughed.
Nicholson coolly responded, “I thought about it.”
He then added, “I’ll be waiting” before putting his trademark sunglasses on and disappearing into the crowd.
The shocked Lawrence seemed to gasp and laugh at once as Stephanopoulos chuckled.
“Oh, my God!’’ Lawrence said.
The two actors had never met before.
