Toddler saved by cops

Two cops saved a toddler after he had a seizure on his morning trip to day care, sources said.

Joseph Elise was driving his 3-year-old grandson, Elie Louis, through Bedford-Stuyvesant at 9 a.m. when the asthmatic boy began foaming at the mouth and Elise pulled his white Acura over in a panic, the sources said.

A crowd gathered at Jefferson and Franklin avenues as the grandfather cried for help after Elie had stopped breathing.

Bystanders flagged down two cops who called for an ambulance. The offices were told it would take five minutes for EMTs to arrive.

So they immediately placed Elie on the trunk of the car and performed CPR, before EMTs arrived in three minutes and 17 seconds, the sources said.

Seven-year veteran Bermaly Nunez performed mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, while five-year vet Charlene Vazquez did chest compressions. Both officers are 32.

He began breathing and EMS took him to Brooklyn Hospital Center, where he was listed in stable condition.
